The National Testing Agency has issued guidelines for students and centers for JEE main exam 2021. JEE's main guidelines come amidst the growing number of cases of Coronavirus in India. The JEE main exam is set to be conducted from 23 to 26 February 2021.

JEE main guidelines issued by NTA are to ensure that social distancing measures and other safety measures are taken at the centers so that the wellbeing of the students is not compromised during the pandemic. It is also to ensure that the exam stays fair for everybody. 

JEE Main 2021 guidelines for Covid-19

The applicants are to adhere to the JEE main guidelines issued by NTA. Here’s what the JEE main guidelines include:

  • Standard operating procedures are to be followed for safety and compliance with the set hygiene standards is to be implemented as soon as the candidate reaches the centers’ premises. 
  • The rooms in the centers are being renovated and sanitized, especially all the door handles, handrails, lift buttons etc.
  • Appropriate space is to be maintained between two seats.
  • Hand sanitizers will be readily available at the JEE main centers for use. 
  • Heat guns are also to be used to measure body temperature before the candidate enters the exam hall.
  • Candidates will also be provided with a three-ply mask on an entry into the centers. The students won’t be allowed to wear their own masks, but only the ones that will be provided to them.
  • A4 sheets for rough work will already be kept at the desks of the candidates so as to avoid any extra contact even with the invigilator.
  • Attendance is also to be marked by each candidate only after sanitization of hands.
  • The candidates will leave the exam hall one by one and would have to drop their admit cards and rough sheets in a box provided at the center.
