L’oréal India Executives - Team leaders and Visionaries
All the four L’oréal India executives who have been elevated to the regional leadership roles have a defined trajectory of consistent growth and dedication. As team leaders and visionaries, their skills will be put to better use of the French beauty products major, L’oréal.
Oke Aalok kick-started his career in 1999 at L’oréal, where he worked on the different aspects of operations across Europe, India, and Japan. In his new role as a Deputy Director, he will spearhead the emerging market growth.
Kavita Angre joined the company L’oréal India in 2013 where she directed the consumer and market insights. Yogesh Suradkar joined in 2016 as the General Manager of Cosmetics and Metiers and was later promoted to the Director of Research and Innovation in 2019.
India - The Talent Hub
Amit Jain, the Managing Director of L’oréal India said the elevation of the executives is a testimony to “India’s unique position as a talent hub for L’oréal globally.” He added that the leaders have worked in diverse and complex markets like India and that is a relevant asset to help design the beauty leadership and transformative growth of L’oréal in the SAPMENA zone.
It is no doubt that India has a large pool of talent that attracts the global MNCs, especially the packaged consumer goods business companies that resource the talent from India for better and bigger global projects and assignments. The reason is that India is a diverse country and the selling of packaged goods is less organised when compared to the Western markets. This prompts the Indian companies to take into consideration the local needs and come up with innovative solutions.
L’oréal set its foot in India in the year 1994 and is a massive beauty product company that sells products around personal care, beauty, and coloured cosmetic products under a host of brands - Garnier, Maybelline New York, L’oréal Paris, Vichy, Kiehl’s brand, and others. The pandemic might have halted a lot of activities but it has not stopped the L’oréal India leaders from taking on new roles as regional and global leaders.
