NIRF Rankings 2021 released: IIT Madras upsets IIT Delhi again; IIM Ahmedabad and Miranda House retains the top spot! (check the overall list)

The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan recently released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings 2021, today, putting IIM Ahemdabad, IIT Madras, and Miranda House at the top in the category of B-Schools (Management), Engineering, and Colleges respectively. First launched in 2015 by the Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development, NIRF outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. Each passing year, the number of colleges and universities participating in the NIRF rankings have increased and so is the number of categories in which the colleges are ranked. In 2016, the institutes were ranked in only 4 categories which increased from 9 in 2019 to 11 categories in 2021!
The 11 categories for the NIRF Ranking 2021 are as follows:
