Established by the Government of India in 1963, the National Institute of Industrial Engineering, (NITIE) Mumbai is one of India's top business schools and a dream institution for MBA students from all around the country. Known as the Mecca of supply chain and operations, NITIE offers worldwide recognized programs - PGDIM, PGDSM, PGDIE, Fellow, PGPEX-VLFM, and DGMP.
Located at the business center of South-East Asia, Mumbai, NITIE is known for its great alumni network and regular industry involvement, which enhances practical knowledge across all industrial disciplines. NITIE is eligible for all case study and corporate competitions conducted by business leaders like Amazon ACE, Flipkart Wired, HUL L.I.M.E, etc.
The institute concluded its final placement for the class of 2021. NITIE students have performed exceptionally by bagging a total of 132 Pre-Placement Offers from their summer internship organizations and through various B-School competitions. During the placement drive of 2021, the highest CTC stood at INR 44 LPA and the average CTC stood at INR 19.5 LPA. Students from the Class of 2021 were a perfect blend of fresh graduates and experienced professionals from diverse engineering backgrounds coming from prestigious institutes like IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani, etc.

- The FMCG and Manufacturing sector received 22% of the total offers
- 14% of offers were offered each in the IT/Analytics and Retail/E-commerce sector
- 15% of the total offers were from the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) domain
Conclusion
A total of 125 companies participated in the final placement season this year. The highest package stood at INR 44 LPA with the average package of the top 10% of the batch with INR 35.84 LPA and the top 20% of the batch with INR 31.27 LPA. The average package for the whole batch stood at INR 19.50 LPA with 28% of the batch of 2021 receiving a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO).
