Paytm to hire 20,000 sales executives, plans to bring the biggest ever IPO worth 16,600 crore
In a bid to educate consumers on the technicalities of digital adoption, Paytm is planning to get 20,000 field sales executives on board. Digital adoption refers to making merchants (specifically new users) capable of employing digital tools such as digital wallets so that they become entirely competent and self-sufficient in regularly using such tools.
Therefore, the main role of the sales executives will be to make merchants aware of Paytm's various digital products and administrations and how they can use these services to their benefit.
India's largest multinational e-commerce and digital payments company is eyeing to expand its total workforce strength and bring an IPO of INR 16,600 crore before this year's Diwali which is speculated to be the greatest initial public offering ever.
The organization is making numerous preparations to bring in the IPO, and as a first step, it is contemplating a hiring spree. Paytm has executed its Field Sales Executive (FSE) program to generate employment opportunities for understudies.

Eligibility:
- The applicant must be 18 years and above and should have either cleared his secondary or senior secondary education. Undergraduates and graduates are also welcome to apply for the post.
- Interested candidates can apply for the sales executive post through the Paytm mobile app.
- If the candidate happens to own a two-wheeler, feel comfortable traveling, and have some prior sales experience, then s/he will be given a special preference over other applicants. It would be a plus one for the candidates to be acquainted with the local or regional languages.
Salary insights:
All the appointed field sales executives could potentially earn a monthly salary up to INR 35,000, and more in the form of commissions and overall performance.

- The entire role of field sales executives centers around educating the merchants on the perks of digital tools, with more emphasis on the services, advantages, and usage of Paytm.
- They are expected to promote various administrations and products of Paytm such as Paytm All-in-One POS Machine (QR codes), and Paytm Soundbox.
- It's the duty of sales executives to make the public aware of other features that come under the domain of Paytm like Wallet, UPI, Paytm Bank, Paytm Postpaid, and Merchant Loan, to name a few.
