A recent report from The World Economic Forum ended with the conclusion that the top 5 emerging jobs in India include Software Engineers, Data Analysts, Specialists in Marketing, Data Scientists as well as Engineers skilled in Machine Learning.

A report from KPMG stated that Software Engineers have achieved growth levels of up to 126% in their salary after upskilling through Scaler. Coursera, an educational platform stated that 13.6 million learners have registered on their platform and the highest demand is for Software Engineering Courses, as per their Campus skill report 

Another report from Tech World Times states that software developers have a global community of more than 26.4 million software developers, making software development a mainstream career option in India. Furthermore, according to a global report by McKinsey, job profiles that witness immense opportunity after an experience of 3 - 5 years are System Software Developer, Security Engineers, Application Software Developer and QA Engineers.

Highly-skilled workers in the tech industry, such as full stack engineers, data scientists, data engineers, and backend engineers, are still in high demand, according to recruitment agency Xpheno.

Newly-funded startups should anticipate offers in the range of 15 percent to 120 percent, depending on the talents and role available.

Incumbent IT service providers and GCCs are projected to give moderate rises, ranging from 5% to 14% for the same skills.

Leading with the highest number of software engineers, the US is currently the largest IT giant, followed by India in the 2nd place with 5.8% Software engineers employed here. “India will have the largest population of Software developers by 2024”, stated in a report by Findly.in.

Some of these notable profiles are Software Developer, Senior Software Engineers, IT Consultant, Team Leader IT etc. Packages for the profiles vary from INR 7 Lakh to INR 20 Lakh, which completely depend on the experience they have. 

Capegemini, Accenture, Cisco, Infosys, and TCS are just a few of the well-known companies that hire a large number of software engineers each year.
