THDC India Limited recently opened applications for young professionals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the power sector. As per THDCIL Recruitment 2023, there are 48 vacancies for engineers (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc.-Engg) and executives with a master’s in social work.  

THDCIL is a leading power sector PSU headquartered in Rishikesh. It has been conferred the Mini Ratna by the Indian Government. A profit-making company since its maiden project (the Tehri HPP), THDCIL is working on projects across various power sectors, namely hydro, solar, wind and thermal.

Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc.- Engg.) with not less than 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (taking the average of all semesters/years). 

Post Qualification Experience of 1 year in relevant field i.e. Construction/Erection & Commissioning/Operation & Maintenance of thermal/ hydro/solar or wind power projects. 

Engineer (Electrical)

Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems & High Voltage/ Power Engineering (B.E/ B.Tech/B.Sc.- Engg.) with not less than 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (taking the average of all semesters/ years).

Post Qualification Experience of 1 year in relevant field i.e. Construction/Erection & Commissioning/Operation & Maintenance of thermal/ hydro/solar or wind power projects. 

Engineer (Mechanical)

Full-time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/ Mechanical & Automation Engineering (B.E/B.Tech/ B.Sc.- Engg.) with not less than 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (taking the average of all semesters/ years).

Post Qualification Experience of 1 year in relevant field i.e. Construction/Erection & Commissioning/Operation & Maintenance of thermal/ hydro/solar or wind power projects. 

Executive (Masters in Social Work)

Master of Arts in Rural Development or Master of Arts in Social Work with not less than 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (taking the average of all semesters/ years). 

Post Qualification Experience of 1 year in relevant field i.e. experience in any Central Public Sector Enterprises/other organization of repute (direct/through third party agency) in the area of planning, implementation and monitoring & evaluation of CSR / Land Acquisition / Community Development / Community Engagement, etc.

Engineer (IT)

Full-Time B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg./Technology)/MCA/ Level “B” examination in Computer Science/ Information Technology with not less than 60% marks.

Post Qualification Experience of 1 year in relevant field i.e. experience in Executive/Officer cadre in IT/Cyber Security in public or private sector. Candidates with experience in Cyber Security shall be preferred.

Note: 

  • All candidates should have scored not less than 65% in the X & XII Board examination (taking the average of all subjects) for General, OBC(NCL) and EWSs categories and pass marks (taking the average of all subjects) in case of vacancy reserved for SC/ST/PwB category.

  • Relaxation in upper age limit for OBC(NCL)/SC/ST/PwBDs/J&K Domiciled/ Ex-Servicemen/Doob Kshetra/Departmental Candidates shall be as per Government of India directives/guidelines.

  • Relaxation in Essential Qualification and overall percentage of marks for SC/ST/ PwBDs/Departmental candidates and Ex-Servicemen candidates will be passing marks.

  • All Degrees/Diplomas should be from a recognized Indian university.

  • Training/Apprenticeship/Teaching period will not be considered as work experience.

THDC Recruitment 2023: Selection Process & Salary

For all posts, the selection process of THDC Recruitment 2023 consists of marks obtained in Academic Qualification, Post Qualification Experience and Personal Interview. 

Candidates must qualify in Personal Interview in order to be considered for the empanelment. The Qualifying percentage marks in the interview are 50% for UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS and 30% for SC/ST/PwBDs/Ex-Servicemen. 

Selected candidates will receive a fixed, consolidated remuneration of INR 60k per month. Maximum tenure is 5 years. 

THDC Recruitment 2023: Application Process

Listed below is the stepwise application process: 

  • Candidates can register online and start filling out the application form with the required basic information, academic qualification, languages known, work experience details, etc. 
  • At the time of filling out the form, candidates need a scanned copy of the following documents: 
    • Passport-size photograph on white background
    • Signature in black ink on white background
    • Class 10th mark sheet (as proof of birthdate)
    • Marksheet and degree of educational qualification
    • Work experience certificate
    • Scanned copy of Caste/Category certificate, if applicable
  • After completing the form, candidates need to click on the Save button to proceed further. 
  • Candidates belonging to General, OBC(NCL) and EWS categories will get the ‘Payment Now’ Option. Once the payment of INR 600 has been completed, candidates need to click on the Submit button to complete the registration. The payment fee is non-refundable. 
    • For ST/SC/PwBD/ J&K Domiciled / Ex-Servicemen/ Victims of riots /Doob Kshetra (Project Affected)/ Department Candidates (THDCIL Employees only) application fee is exempted and no ‘Payment Now’ option will appear. They have to directly click on the Submit button for final submission.
  • Candidates should take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.
