Asia's oldest institute for professional social work education, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) recently completed the final placement process for its M.A. in Human Resource Management & Labour Relations (HRM & LR) batch of 2021-23. The placement process was successfully completed with 100% of the participating cohort placed with the highest-ever numbers in the history of HRM & LR, TISS Mumbai.

TISS HRM & LR Final Placements 2023: Highlights
Breaking all records, the highest CTC for the HRM & LR batch of 2021-23 stood at INR 49 LPA - an increase of 16.42%, over the previous year. Out of 66 students participating in the placements, 27 students received Pre-Placement offers (PPOs).
The average CTC of the top 10% and top 25% was INR 39.29 LPA and INR 35.45 LPA respectively. The mean CTC stood at INR 27.22 LPA while the median CTC was INR 25.75 LPA registering an increase of 13.56% and 14.44% respectively, over the previous year. 64 out of the participating cohort of 66 students received a package of INR 20 LPA and above.
The process witnessed the participation of regular recruiters like Accenture, Accenture Strategy, Aditya Birla Group, Asian Paints, Deloitte India, Flipkart, HUL, ITC, Korn Ferry, Marico, Nestle, TAS, etc.
Deloitte India rolled out the highest number of offers followed by Asian Paints, ITC, and Kotak Mahindra. First-time recruiters included Google, IDFC First Bank, PI Industries, Pine Labs, ReNew Power, and UPL. Companies such as Kotak Mahindra, L’Oréal, Shell, Sterlite Power, and Texas Instruments were back on campus after a hiatus.
The maximum number of candidates will be joining in the domain of FMCG/FMCD, followed by Consulting, Conglomerates, and Engineering/Technology.

About the programme
The Master of Arts in Human Resource Management & Labour Relations (HRM & LR) programme at TISS is designed to develop students into professionally competent and socially sensitive management graduates, fully equipped to take on the challenges of the corporate world. The programme explores the critical areas of contemporary human resources management, in conjunction with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the key functions of management and business.
