• Hydrocarbon Engineering: L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering is a wholly-owned subsidiary of L&T. It caters to the needs of the oil and gas sector around the world. It provides construction solutions to offshore and onshore hydrocarbon projects and also delivers turnkey engineering.
• Power: L&T offers comprehensive services for gas-based power plants & supercritical thermal power plants.
• Metallurgical & Material Handling: The Metallurgical & Material Handling business undertakes EPC projects for ferrous and non-ferrous metal industries. It also projects for bulk material and ash handling systems in the power, steel, port and mining sectors.
• Heavy Engineering: L&T Heavy Engineering is a manufacturer and also the supplier of custom-designed equipment & critical piping to process industries such as chemical, refinery, fertilizer, petrochemical, and oil & gas, as well as to thermal & nuclear power and aerospace sectors.

  Ship Building: L&T’s shipbuilding arm offers total solutions – from concept to design for new builds as well as repair and retrofit – for warships.
• Electrical & Automation: L&T Electrical & Automation provides a wide range of products & solutions for electricity control & distribution, across various sectors like industries, buildings, residences, utilities marine vessels, and agriculture.
• Construction & Mining Machinery: L&T’s construction equipment business manufactures, distributes and provides after-sales support for construction and mining equipment.

Merger & Acquisition:

• L&T set to buy 20% in Mindtree for ₹3,269 cr in a hostile takeover bid. This acquisition adds to L&T’s IT services platform with a focus on new-age digital/cloud solutions, making it highly complementary to L&T’s current technology services portfolio.
• A global player in energy management and automation, Schneider Electric, has entered into a definitive agreement in May 2018 with Larsen & Toubro, to buy its electrical & automation business for an all-cash consideration of Rs 14,000 crore.

• L&T Built Statue of Unity is nominated for the World Architecture News Awards 2019- The Statue of Unity is the world’s tallest monument built as a tribute to India’s first Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and has been nominated for the esteemed World Architecture News Awards 2019 in the mixed-use category.
• L&T completed iconic Medigadda Barrage- The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro, L&T Construction, completed the iconic Medigadda Barrage project in just 2 years. The megastructure is a part of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation project which was inaugurated on 27th June 2019.

• Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) Corporate Award 2019 was given to L&T in the Construction & Infrastructure Development category.
