GATE 2021 response sheet has been recently released by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level test conducted for admission of students in masters’ courses in engineering and recruitment in PSUs. The response sheet was uploaded on IIT Bombay’s website. Candidates who took the GATE exam this year can check the GATE response sheet to verify their marked responses in the exam.
The GATE 2021 response sheet includes:
- Participant ID
- Participant name
- Test center name
- Test date
- Subject
- Questions along with the options
- Question ID
- Status- answered or unanswered
- Chosen option
GATE 2021 response sheet: How to download
- Log on to the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website - gate.iitb.ac.in
- Login to the GATE portal with the student’s enrollment ID and password.
- After filling in the right captcha, the student will be successfully logged in.
- Click the ‘view response’ tab.
- The GATE response sheet will open in the form of a PDF.
- The response sheet can then be scrolled through, and also downloaded from the download button on the top right corner.
Prediction of the score through GATE response sheet
Through the GATE response sheet, a candidate can know whether his/her marked responses are correct or not. Corresponding to the type of question, the official marking scheme can be followed. And the final score can then be arrived at. Here’s the marking scheme:
For MCQ,
- 1 mark MCQs: 1 mark for each correct answer; -⅓ for each incorrect answer
- 2 mark MCQs: 2 marks for each correct answer; -⅔ for each incorrect answer
For NAT,
- 1 mark or 2 marks for each correct answer (depending on the type)
The answer key is yet to be released. IIT Bombay will release the official answer key of GATE 2021 by 2 March 2021 and the results by 22 March 2021.
