IIM Ahmedabad Placement 2022: TAS, Emaar Emerges As Top Recruiters In Cluster 2

IIM Ahmedabad kicked off its Phase-1 of placement season for the class of 2022 of the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management on February 8, 2022. Tata Administrative Services (TAS) and Emaar were the top two recruiters in Cluster 2 of the final placement process at Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, after BCG and Accenture Strategy in Cluster 1.

While TAS made the most domestic offers in Cluster 2, Emaar made the most international proposals.

The Postgraduate Programme (PGP) at IIM-A, which leads to a Master’s degree in Business Administration, has been IIMA’s flagship programme for more than fifty-five years and is among the top-ranked programmes in the world for many years.

IIM-A follows a cluster-based placement approach. Cluster 1 was conducted on February 8, 2022, which went late into the night, while Cluster 2 was held on February 12, 2022. The first cluster of the final placement process for PGP class of 2022 comprised four cohorts: Management Consulting, Investment Banking and Markets, Advisory Consulting and Private Equity, Venture Capital and Asset Management, while the second cluster saw six cohorts including advertising & media, conglomerates, consumer goods & durables, consumer services, pharma & healthcare and retail B2B & B2C.

“Consulting firms, offering management consulting, continue to hire in large numbers. This reinforces the strength of the management programme at IIM-A,” IIM-A said."IIM Ahmedabad has always had an extremely rich mix of firms from diverse sectors. Consulting firms, offering management consulting roles continue to hire in large numbers," the premium Institute added.

• The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) made the highest number of offers,including pre-placement offers on Day One, topping the list at 47 offers whereas Accenture became the largest recruiter with 32 offers
• While Goldman Sachs made the highest number of offers of 7 including PPOs, American Express closely followed with 5 offers in Cluster 1.
• Conglomerates closely followed Consumer Goods & Durables including recruiters like Adani Group, Aditya Birla Group, CK Birla Group, Emaar, and Tata Administrative Services. The other cohorts included firms like Amazon, Disney-Star, Myntra, Nykaa, PharmEasy, Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd., among others.

"The list of cluster 1 recruiters included regular partners such as Accenture Strategy, American Express, ARGA Investment Management LP, Arthur D. Little, A&W Capital, Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Sanford C. Bernstein, Citibank, EY Parthenon, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Kearney, McKinsey & Company, Monitor Deloitte, Oliver Wyman, Premji Invest, PwC, Standard Chartered, and The Xander Group among others," the IIM-A release mentioned.
