IIM Indore placements 2021 record an average salary of 23.6 LPA for its flagship PGP and IPM course

IIM Indore placements for the 2019-21 batch recently concluded on a successful note. The batch consisted of students from IIM Indore’s flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP) and five years Integrated Programme in Management (IPM).

Some key highlights of IIM Indore final placements 2021 are as follows:

1. More than 210 domestic and international organizations offered roles to the students in various domains.
2. The average domestic salary increased by 3% from the previous year.
3. The average salary of the top 100 students of the 2019-21 batch stood at a whopping CTC of INR 33 LPA.
4. This year 40+ first-time recruiters participated in IIM Indore placements.
5. First-time recruiters that offered jobs to students for multiple roles included Blue Star, NPCI, Paytm, PhonePe, TATA AIA.

Prominent recruiters of IIM Indore placements 2021

1. The most sought-after domains were Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Consulting in the placement drive.
2. 24% of the offers were made in the finance domain. 
3. Top recruiters in the finance domain including Bank of America, DE Shaw, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, HDFC Bank, ICICI, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Kotak Mahindra Bank, Morgan Stanley, and State Street offered a wide variety of roles ranging from investment banking and corporate banking to private equity and equity research.
4. In the Sales & Marketing domain, companies including ABInBev, Asian Paints, Enphase Energy, Hindustan Unilever Limited, ITC, L’Oreal, and Marico made multiple offers to the candidates.
5. In the E-commerce sector, top firms including Amazon, Country Delight, Indiamart, Udaan, V2 Retail rolled out coveted roles to candidates.
6. Top Management, Consulting & Strategy profiles were offered by Bain Capability Network, Boston Consulting Group, Ernst & Young, Everest Group, GEP Consulting, Infosys Management Consulting, McKinsey & Company, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
7. Companies that offered IT & technology consulting roles were Cognizant Business Consulting, Merilytics, MXV Consulting, and Optum.
8. Bridgestone, Capgemini, Hero MotoCorp, L&T, JSW, Tech Mahindra, and Whirlpool offered General Management and Operations roles.
9. IT/Analytics and Product Management roles were offered by American Express, Genpact, Salesforce, Wipro, and Yes Bank.

The coveted institute achieved 100% placements with all 579 students placed in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic situation. An elated Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director IIM Indore said, "We are delighted by the continued faith the recruiters have shown in our students. Placing the largest number of students across all IIMs for the final placements during the ongoing pandemic was a challenging task but the commendable efforts in setting up the virtual placement drive ensured hassle-free completion of the placements.”
