IOCL Recruitment 2022: Positions Open For Fresh Engineering Graduates; Apply Before May 22

Indian Oil Corporation Limited or IOCL is now accepting applications for recruitment to the post of Graduate Apprentice Engineer (GAE). Engineering graduates from all engineering streams are eligible to apply for the post. However, interested candidates would need to qualify for the GATE 2022 exam and have a valid score in order to apply for the posts.  

However, note that candidates who qualified for GATE 2021 or before will not be eligible to apply for the IOCL recruitment. 

IOCL Recruitment 2022: Important Dates 

IOCL Recruitment 2022: Requirements 

Candidates must possess a valid GATE score from the year 2022. Candidates who cleared GATE in 2021 or before will not be considered eligible for the post.  

Additionally, in order to be eligible to apply, candidates must have qualified in the GATE 2022 examination from one of the following disciplines:  

• Civil Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Computer Science and Engineering
• Metallurgical Engineering
• Instrumentation Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

Candidates applying under the General/ EWS category must be under the age of 26 on June 30, 2022. Age relaxation as per government guidelines will be applicable for the IOCL recruitment.

IOCL Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria 

• The applicant shall be a resident of India (only Indian citizenship will be accepted)
• Applicants must be qualifying for GATE 2022
• Applicants shall have qualified in the GATE 2022 Examination from one of the disciplines mentioned above
• Applicants must have completed B.Tech./BE /Equivalent as a full-time regular course from recognized Institutions/ Universities/ Colleges/ Deemed Universities with 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD), and must be recognized by AICTE/ UGC in concerned disciplines
• Applicants who have completed/are pursuing M.Tech in concerned disciplines are also eligible to apply, given that they’ve cleared GATE 2022 examination in eligible disciplines and completed B.Tech./BE in any of the disciplines mentioned above

IOCL Recruitment 2022: Selection Process

The selection process for the post of Graduate Apprentice Engineer(GAE) shall consist of three phases:  

• Group Discussion (GD)
• Group Task (GT)
• Personal Interview (PI)

The eligibility of applicants will be verified prior to these phases. Only those applicants who qualify the eligibility criteria by furnishing relevant and valid documents in the latest formats (original documents) at the time of document verification shall be allowed to appear in GD, GT, and PI.
