Joint Admission Counselling Committee recently announced the commencement of JAC Delhi 2020 registrations from September 21. The students interested in the government-funded Delhi-based colleges for pursuing undergraduate level courses for the engineering, architecture, and management programmes can apply to its application form on its official website at jacdelhi.nic.in.
10 important points to keep in mind while registering for JAC Delhi 2020:
- The last date to register is October 9 till 11:59 pm
- In case, a candidate misses the deadline, he/she can participate in further rounds of counseling
- The candidates applying to further round will not be eligible for the seats under the first round
- All the students who have cleared JEE Mains can participate in the counseling rounds
- Admissions will be based on the ranks secured by the students in JEE Mains
- As per the data, a total of 5,448 seats in engineering and 40 seats in architecture courses will be available to students
- The counseling will be performed online where 85% of seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to the Delhi region while 15% for students from outside Delhi
- Any student who has done schooling or passed exams from a college in the NCT region, they will be considered to be from Delhi
- The registration/counseling fee is of INR 1500 (along with additional charges)
- There will be no separate entrance exam for JAC Delhi 2020
Who is eligible for JAC Delhi 2020 registrations?
Any candidate with a minimum percentage in the qualifying exam or class 12 board exams can apply for the counseling. However, it must be kept in mind that for admission to B.Tech., dual degree, or MBA degrees at DTU, IGDTUW, and NSUT, candidates need to have scored at least 60% marks. But, in the case of IIT Delhi, securing 70% marks is a mandate. Some relaxation has been provided by the committee to the reserved categories. The cut-off for,
- OB/CW is 55%
- SC/ST/PD is 50%
In the case of IIT Delhi, the cut-off for,
- OB/CW/PD is 65%
- SC/ST is 60
Last but not least, there is no age limit to apply for admissions.
JAC Delhi 2020 application form filling process
To start with the JAC Delhi 2020 application form filling process, make sure to have a recent passport size colored photograph and a digital signature. After paying the registration fee, click on the ‘New Registration’ tab, and enter personal details. The candidates are required to log in by entering their JEE Main 2020 application number and password and then fill the choice of institutes and courses. After selecting the preferred choice, lock them, and submit the application form. The candidates can also take a printout of the application for future reference.
