JEE Main 2021 exam details released!

NTA JEE Main 2021 exam details were released by the education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on December 16, 2020. All the details including registration, examination dates, admit card release date has been announced. 

The JEE Main 2021 exam will take place in four segments in the months of February, March, April, and May 2021 to give the candidates some extra time. The exam will be administered by NTA and the exam month can be selected by students according to their preference. The JEE Main 2021 exam is scheduled to take place from 23 February 2021 to 26 February 2021. All the candidates have been given the liberty to appear in all 4 exams after which the best score will be considered. 

What is new for JEE main 2021 exam? 

This year JEE Main 2021 will be distinct in several aspects. The organization agreed to conduct the test in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. Though Hindi, English, and Urdu exams will be conducted nationwide, other regional language papers will be conducted in the respective states.

The National Testing Agency has determined that there will be 90 questions out of which only 75 have to be solved by the candidates or 25 out of 30 questions from each segment of chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Also, the negative marking won't be done in the remaining 15 optional questions. Merit list/ranking will be built on the basis of the candidate's best score

Important dates that you should be aware of

In your preparation for JEE Main 2021 exam make sure that you take note of the following dates. We suggest that you add them to your calendar with alerts in place. 

• The application form for JEE Main 2021 exam was released on December 16, 2020, and candidates can register until January 16, 2021. 
• The last date for payment of the application form is January 17, 2021
• The last date for correction in the application form is January 19 to January 21, 2021.
• The admit card for NTA JEE Main 2021 examination will be coming out by the first week of February 2021 on the official website of JEE Main.
• The JEE Main exam dates are from February 23 to February 26, 2021.
