The K.C. Mahindra Education Trust (KCMET) is well-known for helping needy and deserving students by providing them with grants and scholarships. It has numerous initiatives all aimed at promoting education in India. One such initiative is the K.C. Mahindra Scholarship for Post-graduate Studies Abroad. Every year KCMET invites students to apply for the scholarship and selects deserving candidates from amongst them. This year, out of the 1982 applicants, the trust has awarded 60 students with scholarships amounting to a total of INR 315 lakhs.

KC Scholarship for Post-graduate Study Abroad: Basic Details
The scholarship is open only to students going abroad for post-graduate studies in various fields. Under the initiative, KCMET has helped thousands of students since its inception in 1956. The eligibility criteria are:
- Applicants must possess either a first-class degree (or equivalent diploma) from a recognized university.
- Applicants must be Indians who have secured or have applied for admission in reputable foreign universities.
The applications for the scholarships generally close in March-April every year. Of the total applicants, 3 K.C. Mahindra fellows are awarded a maximum of INR 8 lakh/ scholar. And the remaining successful applicants are awarded a maximum of INR 4 lakh/ scholar.
KC Scholarship for Post-graduate Study Aboard 2022
This year the application closed in April 2022 until when 1982 students applied for the scholarship. Of these 98 students were shortlisted for the virtual interview round. The selection panel comprised some of the most remarkable leaders of the country.

The esteemed panel spent 2 days interviewing the applicants and in the end selected 60 students under the initiative. Of these 60 students, 3 students have been awarded a scholarship of INR 10 lakh each.
Anjali Goyal, Jinang Shah, and Bhuvanyaa Vijay are the three fellows, who will be pursuing Business Management from NYU, Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and Law from Harvard University respectively.
The remaining 57 scholars have been awarded a scholarship of INR 5 lakh each to support their journey. These scholars will be pursuing higher studies in fields ranging from Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, MBA, Robotics, CS, Architecture, Economics, Arts & Design, etc. from top-tier foreign universities like NYU, MIT, Stanford, Harvard, London School of Economics, Yale, Columbia, and others.
