Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies Placements 2022 (Phase 1); 158 Offers, Highest CTC INR 21.5 LPA

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, also called SSCBS, has successfully conducted the placements for the 2021-22 batch where a 109% growth in CTC was seen. A total of 158 placement offers have been recorded this season - a whooping 90.36% increase from the previous year!.

The list of 30 recruiters who participated in the recruitment drive included top names in the industry, like EY, Marico, Bain & Company and Accenture, among others. This was undoubtedly one of the best placement seasons in the history of SSCBS.

SSCBS Placements 2022: Important Insights

• Bain Capability Network emerged as the largest recruiter offering 45 roles in total to SSCBS students. 
• The median package for the phase I of SSCBS placements stood at INR 9.85 LPA. 
• The gross margin for the 2021-22 placement season amounted to INR 14.6 Crore.
• The students were assisted in the placement process by the Career Development Center (CDC) of SSCBS. 
• Under the 'Project Prep for Success' initiative by the CDC, each second year student has been allotted a third-year student as mentor to guide them through the process.
• Keeping the need for networking in mind, CDC also collaborated with Alma Shines to build a platform for alumni networking. 

SSCBS Placements 2022: Top Recruiting Sectors

• Consulting emerged as the top recruiting sector inducting 76.7% students from the batch. 
• Tech came second in the SSCBS placements with 9.8% hiring in Phase 1, followed by research at 6.7%.
• Both Marketing & Finance made less than 5% hiring from SSCBS this season.

SSCBS witnessed the participation of 27 recruiters among whom many are top names in the industry. Notably, three of the big four, i.e. EY, KPMG and Deloitte. Many big names in the industry, such as D.E. Shaw Group, FTI Consulting, Ken Research, IHS Markit and Fundwave offered Pre-Placement Offers (PPO).

According to the placement report of the institute, McKinsey & Company, CRISIL and Colgate Palmolive offered over 140 internships for the first time. It is a sign of the quality of professional education that SSCBS nurtures.
