Getting listed on Forbes was like a dream come true, something for which I have worked was finally getting paid off. For me, participating in the competition is way more important than winning as I never thought of winning any corporate competition. The main objective behind participation was always how I was going to add value to me as well as in the corporate.

Meeting two-fold objectives

The aim to participate in various business case studies and the business plan was to gain maximum exposure from it and also to gain insights related to how corporations work while creating any policy, devising sustainable strategy and learning everything which we were not able to learn in our normal MBA curriculum. I always present my solution with the thought of something which is going to help corporations in multiple ways.

Also, constantly learning kept me motivated during my entire competitive journey. I always believe in upskilling as much as I can by participating in numerous competitions not just limited to my majors or minors. For acing case competition, my approach was always to solve the business problem by breaking down problems into subproblems and then take a single subproblem one by one to get effective and credible solutions.

Igniting the competitive spirit

2020 was a year full of challenges, so my team and I were quite doubtful about the operations of corporate competitions. But platforms like Dare2Compete ensured easy adaptability for the same. This keeps my competitive spirit alive.

But virtual communication with teammates and stakeholders involved in any corporate competition was something that was concerning. Hence, unfortunately, COVID taught us to be more adaptive, with proper support and infrastructure we were able to overcome all those challenges in any virtual competition we came across.

Words of wisdom

The biggest learning from the Recruiter to Student connect session was unique in various ways. I got an opportunity to interact and network with as many recruiters as I can and got to know about their expectations and how to curate our CVs in case we want to explore off-campus opportunities in near future.

Moreover, my friends were expecting me to be in the Unstop (formerly Dare2Compete)top 10 college champions, but when they saw me in the top 100 lists, they were proud of me, and honestly it was not possible without their contribution. Even though my parents are not much aware of all those things, they were quite happy after they saw the memento!
