What topics will be taught in the course?

Students will gain exposure through hands-on projects to the theory behind graph search algorithms, classification, optimization, reinforcement learning, and other topics in artificial intelligence and machine learning. They will incorporate all these theoretical concepts into their own Python programs. At the end of the course, students will come out with experience in libraries for machine learning as well as knowledge of artificial intelligence principles that will enable them to design intelligent systems on their own. Some important topics that will be covered in the course are as follows:

  1. Graph search algorithms
  2. Adversarial search
  3. Knowledge representation
  4. Logical inference
  5. Probability theory
  6. Bayesian networks
  7. Markov models
  8. Constraint satisfaction
  9. Machine learning
  10. Reinforcement learning
  11. Neural networks
  12. Natural language processing

These topics have various applications like self-driving cars, industrial automation, trading and finance, NLP (Natural Language Processing), healthcare, engineering, news recommendation, gaming, real-time bidding, marketing and advertising, and robotics manipulation.

Why can this course be useful for you?

In this age of technological advancements, AI and ML (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) are playing a very crucial role in every aspect of our lives. From news recommendations to self-driving cars, everywhere the major role is being played by AI. If a person is equipped with the knowledge of these two fields it will give him/her a major advantage over others as their importance is currently indispensable and will only grow in the next couple of years. This Harvard university course will enable the participants to take the first step toward solving important real-world problems and future-proofing their careers for free.
