Commendable opportunity for students holding a degree in Architecture is here. The UPSC has notified Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) for 53 vacant posts under the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs.

The CPWD handles a wide range of projects pertaining to Housing, Office space, Hospitals, Educational Institutions, Roads, National Highways, Bridges, Flyovers, Airports, Tourism and Culture, Environmental and other utility services. It also executes Border Fencing, Flood lighting and Road projects in difficult terrain under hostile conditions along our borders.  

UPSC Recruitment 2023 (CPWD): Key Highlights

The job opportunity is exclusively for B.Arch students who are registered as Architect with the Council of Architecture under the Architect Act 1972 (20 of 1972). Below is the detail of the eligibility criteria for the application:

Education Qualification 

  • B.Arch degree from a recognized University or Institution
  • Registered as Architect with the Council of Architecture

Post 

Permanent job of Central Architects Service Group - “A”

Pay Scale 

Level - 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC

Duties

  • Independently handle projects costing upto INR 50 Lakh
  • Supervise and guide Architectural Assistants, etc.

Age Limit

35 years

No experience required as per the official notification for this job and the shortlisted candidate is liable to serve anywhere in India after the probation period.
