The National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) has announced 324 vacancies for engineers and accountants. Per the NHPC Recruitment 2023 notification, mechanical, electrical, civil, electronics, and communications engineers, as well as accountants are eligible to apply. 

NHPC, a 'Mini Ratna' Company, is the biggest hydropower company in India. A leader in the design, construction, and operation of hydropower plants, NHPC has so far commissioned over 20 hydro, solar, and wind power projects.

NHPC Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

According to the NHPC Recruitment 2023 notification, the organization is looking for high-performing, dynamic & achievement-oriented professionals. Only Indian nationals can apply. Here’s the detailed eligibility criteria: 

Important notes and relaxations: 

• Relaxation in age: 
• SC/ ST: 5 years 
• OBC (Non- creamy layer): 3 years
• PwBD: 10 years
  
  
• Relaxation in Educational Qualification: For the posts of Junior Engineer, SC/ST/PwBD candidates with 50% marks are eligible to apply.
  
  
• For Junior Engineer posts, candidates with a higher technical qualification like B.Tech/B.E. but without the essential qualification i.e. full-time regular diploma are not eligible.

NHPC Recruitment 2023: Selection Process & Salary

The selection process for the available posts involves a Computer-Based online test. Here’s the detailed selection process: 

• As per the NHPC Recruitment 2023 notification, the eligible candidates shall be provisionally allowed to appear for Computer Based OnlineTest. 
  
  
• The Minimum Qualifying Marks in CBT are as follows: 
• For General/OBC/ EWS: 40% Marks 
• For SC/ST/PwBD: 35% Marks
  
  
• Based on the merit of the online test, the final selected candidates will be given a provisional “Offer of Appointment”.

The monthly salary for both positions, junior engineer and senior accountant, has been listed between INR 29,600 - 1,19,500 (IDA) in the NHPC Recruitment 2023 notification. 

NHPC Recruitment 2023: Application Process

The last date to apply for the available positions is June 30, 2023. Here’s the step-by-step application process provided in the NHPC Recruitment 2023 notification: 

• Log on to www.nhpcindia.com and apply through the online application portal available under the section “Career”. Candidates applying on the portal must possess a valid e-mail ID and mobile number. This has to remain active throughout the process.
  
  
• Go through the detailed instructions provided on the website and complete the online application form with relevant details. Submit the form after completion. 
  
• After the form has been successfully submitted, an application ID shall be generated by the system. This Application ID will be used for further communication. 
  
  
• At the time of applying, candidates need to upload scanned copies of the required documents, namely matriculation certificate, mark sheets, and caster and disability certifications, if applicable. 
  
  
• Candidates also have to upload their latest photograph and signature. 
  
  
• Candidates need to take a print of the registration form generated by the system with a unique application ID for future reference.
