The University Grants Commission(UGC) has extended the last date till November 30, for students to apply for UGC Scholarship 2020. Students can apply for various UG and PG courses through the official site of the National Scholarship Portal. The official notice has been updated on the website.

How to apply:

Visit the national scholarship portal
Click on the new registration window
Keep the documents regarding bank and educational details handy
Fill in the form and then click on login to apply

There are four UGC Scholarships 2020 under which a candidate can apply:-

UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship 2020
UGC Single Girl Child Scholarship 2020
UGC PG Rank Holders Scholarship
UGC SC ST Scholarship

Based on their eligibility criteria, applicants will receive a specified sum, if selected.

UGC Ishan Uday Scholarship 2020 Ishan Uday Scholarship is a special scheme for the students from the North East Region (NER) of India. The main aim of this scheme is to provide equal opportunities for higher education to them and increase their Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER)	5400-7800	10000
UGC Single Girl Child Scholarship 2020 It aims to compensate direct costs of girl’s Post Graduation to all levels especially for such girls who happen to be the only girl child in their family. Girl students who are twin daughters/ fraternal daughters or students without a brother can apply for the scholarship.	36,200 per annum (for two years)	3000
UGC PG Rank Holders Scholarship This PG Scholarship is for University Rank Holders doing “outstanding performance” at the undergraduate level. University toppers who took admission in any regular, full-time master’s degree course from any recognized university, deemed university, private university, autonomous college or a postgraduate college can apply for this scholarship.	3,100 per month (for two years)	3000
UGC SC ST Scholarship This PG Scholarship Scheme is for SC ST Students to provide financial assistance to candidates pursuing postgraduate studies in Professional courses.	4500-7800

December 15, 2020, is the last date for verification of applications of UGC Scholarships 2020 by Institutions of students and re-submission of defective applications. Eligible institutions are advised to verify the applications immediately after receiving the applications on Portal.
