FMS Delhi Achieves Best-Ever Placements In History | Highest CTC INR 58 LPA

Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University, lived up to its reputation of being a top B-school by placing 100% of the students in the recently concluded Final Placement Process. The average CTC stood at INR 32.4 LPA - the highest ever in the history of the institute. The majority of the students got placed in the Consulting sector, followed by Sales and Marketing, and BFSI. 

The size of the 2022 batch was the highest ever in the history of the institute, comprising 269 students. Out of them, 257 took part in the placement process, while the rest took up the provision of Placement Holiday.

Key Highlights of FMS Placements

• The entire placement process was conducted in virtual mode due to Covid 19 lockdowns.
• The average CTC witnessed an increase of 24% from the previous year.
• The median CTC rose by 25% to INR 30 LPA - an all-time high at the institute.
• 95% of the offers made were above 20 LPA, while the top quartile bagged an average CTC of INR 48.4 LPA.
• The 50% of the batch received an average CTC of INR 40.78 LPA.
• Offers from the BFSI sector saw a rise of 24% from last year.

Consulting

Consulting, Strategy and General Management emerged as the top recruiting sectors with 35% of students taking up offers in these sectors. It is a testimony to the fact that FMS Delhi holds a prestigious position among the top B-schools in the country. The table below lists the top recruiters from this domain. 

Banking Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI)

16% of the total offers came from the BFSI sector, as it came second after Consulting in terms of sector-wise performance. Front-end Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate Finance, Corporate Banking, Management, and Treasury were some of the roles being offered. Operations/IT/E-commerce

IT, Operations, and E-commerce made a combined hiring of 29% from FMS, Delhi this year. Some of the top recruiters from these sectors can be found in the table below. 

Sales & Marketing

Most of the offers in Sales & Marketing came from the FMCG/FMCD sector. Pharmaceuticals, Consumer Electronics, Retail, E-commerce, Industrial Goods, and Automobile sectors also offered several roles in Sales & Marketing. What is a Placement Holiday at FMS? 

Placement Holiday is a unique opportunity given to the students of FMS Delhi to build excellence in entrepreneurship. The students who opt for Placement Holiday get the chance to take a break from the placement process for 2 years and pursue an entrepreneurial venture. Within the two-year period, they can return and take part in the placement process.

In a statement released by the FMS, Delhi University, the institute thanked all the recruiters who hired from here. “The strong placements every year are testament to the culture of excellence that FMS nurtures in its students,” the institute said. 

“They work with industry giants to solve real-world problems through Live Projects or part-time internships. This is one of the many factors that attract leading corporates to FMS Delhi every year,” it further added.
