As per the IIT Bombay placement report, 2174 students were registered to take part in the campus placement starting from July 2022 to June 2023. Out of the total registration, 1845 students were involved in the placements. A total of 1516 IITians secured jobs which is by far the highest number to date for IIT Bombay. The placement sessions were carried out in hybrid mode involving interviews online and offline.
In the 2023 NIRF Rankings, IIT Bombay has been ranked 4th in the overall category, 3rd in engineering, and 10th in management. In the QS World University Rankings 2023, it was ranked at 149th position.
IIT Bombay continues to be one of the preferred choices for Indian students pursuing STEM courses, especially computer science and engineering.

Conclusion
The IIT Bombay placement 2022- 23 was conducted through hybrid mode. A 5.7% rise in registered students is seen in comparison with last year. It also saw the highest-ever number of students placed this year. A total of 1516 IITians secured jobs during the 2022- 2023 placement.
There is a 5.2 % increase in the total number of students placed highlighting a high demand in relevant sectors. Also, there is a rise in the total number of recruited Ph.D. students compared to last year. 41 out of 131 active Ph.D. students were selected during the placement. Taking into account the total number of active participating students, the IIT Bombay placement report for 2022-2023 is 82.16%.
