The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has announced an internship scheme for graduate/postgraduate students and research scholars from recognized universities/institutions in India as well as outside India. The internship scheme is focused on inducting the eligible candidates (interns) into various Ministry Divisions/Units as well as the Ministry’s Autonomous Organisations, Regional Offices, Subordinate Offices, and ENVIS (Resource Partners & Hubs).

MOEF&CC Internship Scheme: Details

Name Of The Scheme	Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEF&CC) Internship Scheme.
Purpose Of The Scheme	To allow short-term exposure to selected candidates with different Divisions/Units of Ministry as ‘Interns’.
Objectives Of The Scheme	Allow fresh talent to be familiar with the work of the Ministry for mutual benefit as well as gain an opportunity to know about Developmental Policy issues and Government regulations and functions.
Eligibility Criteria	Must be pursuing Graduation/Post-Graduation/Research Work from a recognized university/institution within/outside India.
Duration	3 months
Perks	Stipend and certificate upon completion of the internship.
Other Requirements	Candidates must have their own laptops/mobile phones.

MOEF&CC Internship Scheme: Application Procedure & Stipend Details

Interested applicants must apply online only through the address link provided on the Ministry's website for internships.
Interns must also specify their area of interest.
Interns will only be able to apply in one discipline.
If any application(s) for nomination in more than one discipline is/are received, it will be the Ministry's prerogative to nominate the discipline from the disciplines mentioned by the intern.
Applicants will be required to produce a letter from their Supervisor/Head of Department/Principal indicating their status in the Institution and ‘No Objection’ for allowing their student to participate in an Internship Program for the period for which he or she is selected at the time of joining on selection.
The Interns will be paid a stipend of INR 10,000 per month. If a student leaves the internship before the end of one month, no stipend will be paid.
The intern’s absence from the assigned task in the Ministry for more than three days in a month will result in a deduction of the stipend amount equal to the number of days in excess of three days.

MOEF&CC Internship Scheme: Selection Criteria & Other Details

Only online applications will be considered.
The deadline for applications will be 11 July 2022 (11:59 P.M.)
Applicants will be selected strictly on a merit basis. All the applications received online will be forwarded to the concerned Heads of Divisions in the Ministry. The Divisional Head will formulate an Internal Scrutiny Committee. The Divisional Head will then select the intern in consultation with the Internal Scrutiny Committee.
The list of selected candidates will be available for display on the Ministry’s official website.
