But, as it is human nature to make the best of the situation, Indian IT companies sprang back and this time keeping in lieu the different factors of restricted mobility, technological advancements, and rising demands, it not only speeded up the process of hiring but the numbers too.
The top 4 Indian companies added over 50,000 employees in the second quarter of fiscal year ’21. Now, they aim to hire 4,50,000 techies in the second half of FY22.

Hiring strategies of top Indian IT giants
Wipro
Wipro is increasing its fresh graduate hiring for this year to 17,000 from the earlier estimated 12,000. Wipro has already added 11,475 employees of whom 8,000 were freshers. The company’s headcount was 2,21,365 at the end of September, 21. By the end of this fiscal, they are planning to add almost 25,000 techies.
Infosys
The company which had earlier announced that it was hiring 35,000 freshers for FY22 upped the hiring number to 45,000 on back of the demand it is seeing.
Pravin Rao, COO, Infosys while replying on the analyst call post results said, “Even in my over three decades of work, we have not seen such a scale of war of talent, which is making every company rush to campuses to hire more freshers.”

HCL
Yet another tech giant, HCL has announced the “First Careers” program which is an assured job training program aimed at new college graduates this year. It is inviting applications for System Engineer, Support Engineer, and Technical Support positions.
TCS
In the first half of FY2022 Tata Consultancy Services(TCS) hired 43,000 new graduates, which exceeded the limit set by the company till July’21. TCS plans to hire more than 35,000 freshers in the second half of the current fiscal year, bringing the total to a whopping number of 78,000.
Salary Packages: Which company is offering the highest remuneration?

When employees were asked about how satisfied they were with the salaries, Wipro topped the list with 3.9/5. TCS followed closely behind with 3.2/5. Infosys was rated 3/5 whereas HCL was at the bottom with 2.9 /5.

Is the salary as per market standard?
TCS seems to be the best company offering salaries according to the market standard where 41% of the employees agreed. Infosys came in second with 37%, followed by HCL where 33% agreed with their salary standards. Wipro came last with only 31% employees.

Wipro and TCS lead with 3.2/5 when it comes to how opportunistic the jobs are for the respective companies. Infosys followed behind with 3.1/5 while HCL lagged behind at 3 /5.

No surprises here. Infosys and TCS lead the pack with 3.5/5. HCL followed with 3.4/5 whereas Wipro came in fourth with 3.2/5.
