IIM Raipur Placements 2022: 250+ Students Placed, Highest CTC INR 42.15 LPA

One of the New IIMs, IIM Raipur, has witnessed a good final placement season this year for its 2020-22 batches. With 275 coveted roles being offered across multiple domains, the institute saw a 17% increase in the average CTC which went as high as INR 17.73 LPA for the 2020-22 MBA batch.

As per the official placement report of IIM Raipur, 275 coveted roles were offered in Sales and Marketing, Operations and IT, Analytics and Consulting, Financial Management and General Management.

"Our highlights reflect the inbuilt processes to unlock the innate strengths and nurturing resources of our young generation," Prof Ram Kumar Kakani, the director of IIM Raipur said.

• The average CTC of the top 25% was clocked at INR 24.0 LPA and the top 50% bagged an average CTC of INR 21.01 LPA. 
• The median salary at IIM Raipur placements stood at INR 16.95 LPA - a little lower than the average CTC of the MBA batch.
• Strategy and Consulting made the highest number of recruitments, as it absorbed 35% of the students with the highest package from this sector touching INR 32.21 LPA. 
• Among the top recruiters were big names like Accenture, Amazon, Microsoft, Cognizant and PwC.
• 73% of the students in the batch came from an engineering background, followed by 14% from Commerce and Accounting.
• The average work experience of the batch was 20 months, and 41% of the students were Female. 

IIM Raipur Placements 2022: Sector-Wise Overview

For the 2022 IIM Raipur placements, a well balanced distribution of recruiting was witnessed across sectors. The offers came from diverse sectors such as BFSI, Strategy and Consulting, IT/ITES/ Manufacturing, FMCG/ FMCD and E-commerce.

“Our efforts were aligned to foster value leadership in students and we were able to continue same practice during uncertain times as well,” the co-chairperson of Corporate and Placement said.

Industry-Wise Divisions In IIM Raipur Placements

• The highest industry-wise recruiter in the IIM Placements 2022 was Strategy and Consulting with 35% of the total offers for the batch.
• Strategy and Consulting was followed by IT/ ITES with 30%, BFSI at 16% and Manufacturing at 7%.
• FMCG/ FMCD was the lowest recruiter with only 5% of the total hiring made from IIM Raipur.

• The maximum number of offers were made in the Analytics and Consulting domain with 44% of the total roles in this sector.
• 21% of the total offers were made in the Sales and Marketing Domain - the second highest after Analytics and Consulting.
• The lowest number of roles were offered in the domain of General Management - just 8% of the total offers.

Final Words

Not only did IIM Raipur complete the placements for the entire batch but it was also one of the best placement drives at the institute. Furthermore, the institute has also witnessed a significant rise in all metrics. For instance, in 2019-2021 the highest CTC was INR 30 LPA, but it increased to INR 42.15 LPA in 2020-22 season. The excellent numbers exhibited by the previous as well as the new recruiters in the students of IIM Raipur has reinforced the growth of IIM Raipur's reputation in the management education community.
