Virtusa Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the Virtusa recruitment process are as follows:
- At least 65% aggregate score in 10th and 12th (or equivalent diploma).
- Minimum aggregate of 65% marks in graduation i.e. B.E / B.Tech in any discipline (CSE/ECE/IT/EI/MECH/TELECOM). Students who have done their post-graduation, with an M.E / M.Tech/ MCA in any discipline can also apply.
- NO backlogs at the time of appearing for the Virtusa recruitment process
- Note that the Virtusa recruitment process is only viable for candidates who have not more than a year of gap after the 12th standard, and none after SSC (10th standard) or in between semesters of graduation.

Virtusa Recruitment Process: Details
Now that we know the eligibility criteria, let's take a look at the actual Virtusa recruitment process. The process remains nearly the same for both on-campus and off-campus placements. There are four rounds that all eligible candidates must go through. The details are as given below.
Round 1: Online Assessment Round
The online tests generally consist of 3 MCQ sections followed by 1-2 coding sections. That is:
- Aptitude section
- Web & technical section
- Verbal ability & Communication
- Coding rounds (2)
The time limit/ duration for the whole round is somewhere around 3 hours. The broad topics covered under this round come from various CS/ IT topics including (but not limited to) C programming, Java, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.
There generally are two coding rounds, where the first one consists of 3-4 easy to medium-level questions. The second coding round consists of 3 questions of advanced level. Once you clear all these tests, you are set to move on to the next round of the Virtusa recruitment process.
Round 2: Technical Interview
This is usually a one-to-one interview where the interviewer would like to test the respective candidate's technical knowledge with tech/ programming questions from topics like (but not limited to) C, C++, Java, OOPs, etc. The difficulty level of the questions asked in the technical interview is generally easy to medium since the interviewer wants to ascertain how strong your foundational basics are.
Round 3: Group Discussion
A group discussion is the third step in the Virtusa recruitment process, however, it can sometimes be skipped in lieu of limited time, the number of applicants, or other requirements. Note that even when conducted the GD round is not necessarily an elimination round. The main intent behind this round is to judge the candidate's communication skills, analytical thinking, convincing skills, team player abilities, presence of mind, leadership skills, etc.
Round 4: HR Interview
Once you manage to push through all the aforementioned rounds of the Virtusa recruitment process, you come to the final one, which is the HR interview round. It is highly unlikely for you to be tested on your technical knowledge here. The interviewer would rather judge your behavioral and personality traits to see if you fit the bill. The interview will start with a basic introduction followed by a series of questions. There is a high chance that if you have made it to this round, you will get placed in the technology services company.
