Selection Process And Timeline For SDE Roles

Online Assessment Round

In the assessment, the candidates are asked to appear for an exam which tests their general aptitude. The assessment has three main sections, namely quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and verbal aptitude. The entire paper takes around 2.5-3 hours to complete.

Quantitative aptitude: In this section of the assessment test, the candidates get 10-12 questions numerical abilities. Some of the topics in this section include ratio-proportion, time/distance/speed, percentage, etc.

Logical reasoning: This section of the logical reasoning include 10-15 questions coding-decoding, analogies, clocks, etc.

Verbal aptitude: The candidates have to answer about 8-10 questions on verbal aptitude, such as antonyms, synonyms, sentence ordering, error finding, etc.

Technical Assessment Round

In the the technical assessment round, the candidates are assessed on their ability to relate theoretical knowledge with real-world problems. To clear this stage, the candidate should cover the topics from computer science, such as programming languages, data structures, cyber security, and big data, etc. The candidates may also get 1-2 questions on coding of programming languages. The technical assessment round takes about 2-3 hours to complete.

HR Interview

The HR interview is taken by a senior Human Resource manager or a department head. In this interview, the candidates are assessed on their ability to express themselves, solve day-to-day problems, and work in a team. In other words, the company ensures that candidates selected for the job have good communication skills and problem-solving abilities. To clear the HR interview, the candidates can go through behavioural interview questions and answers.
