Wipro conducts on-campus and off-campus recruitment drives from time to time to recruit engineers from across the country. Apart from this, the candidate can also apply from 

  • Direct Application: One can directly apply on Wipro's official website i.e. careers.wipro.com/careers-home. The vacant positions are enlisted on the page under different profiles and one can apply for any job role that meets his/her skill set or interest. 
  • Wipro Elite NTH: The Elite National Talent Hunt (NTH) is Wipro's initiative to employ engineering freshers. The initiative is intended to provide fresh engineering graduates in India with equitable access to employment opportunities.

Eligibility for Wipro recruitment process

The eligibility criteria for the Wipro recruitment process are as follows:

  • Above 60% marks in 10th and 12th standard. 
  • 65% marks or equivalent CGPA in Graduation.
  • One must have completed a full-time degree course to be eligible. No part-time or distance learning courses are allowed. 
  • Educational requirements: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech (5 year integrated too).
  • All branches of engineering (full-time courses) are allowed except fashion technology, textile engineering, and food technology. 
  • One backlog is allowed at the time of initial rounds but the final offer will be subject to all backlogs being clear. 
  • Candidates who have participated in the selection process conducted by Wipro in the last 6 months are not eligible.

Wipro process for recruitment 2022 for freshers

Wipro's recruitment process is a well-structured process wherein candidates have to go through several rounds of written tests and face-to-face interviews. It generally consists of the following rounds:

  • Aptitude Test
  • Essay Writing
  • Coding
  • Interview

Following are the details of the hiring process:

Aptitude Test

It is an online evaluation process whose details are as follows.

Verbal English 20 20 minutes
Coding 2 60 minutes
Essay writing 1 20 minutes

The aptitude test consists of quant, logical reasoning and verbal ability questions are from topics such as data interpretation, word arrangement, LCM & HCF, divisibility, numbers, decimal, fractions, and exponents & power, mathematical operations, clock puzzles, verbal reasoning, directions, logical word sequence, data sufficiency, coding-decoding, synonyms, antonyms, contextual vocabulary, etc. 

For the essay writing section, the candidate needs to write an article on the given topic in about 500 words. The essay must be well-structured and grammatically sound. 

For Wipro coding test, one must have a good grasp of the programming concepts and must be proficient in any one of the programming languages JAVA, C, C++, and Python. Two coding questions may be asked from DSA, arrays, strings, decision making, object-oriented programming language, etc. 

Note: There is no negative marking in the above rounds.

Technical Interview Round

The candidates who pass the online assessment round are invited for face-to-face technical interviews. With regard to the technical Wipro interview, the knowledge of the basic concepts of the candidate is assessed. The interviewer may ask you common questions to judge your problem-solving and numerical thinking abilities. Some important topics for technical interviews are DBMS, object-oriented languages, assignment operators in C++, operating systems as a communication bridge, examples of errors, errors during compilation, garbage collection methods in Java, object-based languages, etc. The candidate must be thorough with at least one programming language. You may be made to write a code on paper during the interview process. 

HR Interview Round

HR interviews are conducted to assess the personality, leadership abilities, positive attitude, strengths, communication skills, and interests of the candidate. He/she is also expected to know the origin of the company, its aims, objective, philosophies, and organizational structure. Hence, it is always a good idea to conduct thorough research about the company before going for the interview.

Also, one must be able to answer questions from their resume and should have read the job description for the current position well.
